Find your Ikigai
Recently I scrolled through my Twitter timeline to discover this image. An image that resonated with me and I would like to re-share on my blog.
By now, it's pretty clear that millennials are no longer driven by so called status objects, like well-sounding job titles or fancy cars. On the other hand, following one's passion is easier said than done.
The most frequent questions are around the topic of how to make a living by following one’s passion. What does that even mean? What if I have multiple passions? Or maybe I'm not really 100% sure what I am passionate about? Or maybe you have a passion and cannot make a living out of that.
Simon Sinek would argue that you need to start with your why. The Golden Circle tells you and organisations not only what they are doing and how they are doing it, but most importantly why you're doing what you're doing.
Long story short.
Before you tell someone to "just follow your passion", think about Ikigai.
Ikigai: What you love, what the world needs, what you are good at, what you can be paid for. https://t.co/EEIuNhhk96 pic.twitter.com/TSkTpnrGRo
